Welcome!
My name is Anita and I was sorrounded by music most of my life. I grew up in an artistic environment and I pursued a musical education. Graduated from my Bachelor studies and completed a Master research thesis in jazz improvisation. Constantly preoccupied with vocal sound, I explored over the years pop and classical singing techniques. Currently I am an active musician, singer and composer, on the jazz scene in Rotterdam.
I would be happy to share with my students some of the knowledge and musical experience I gained over the years: pop and jazz singing, vocal technique training and ways to improove as a performer.
I encourage my students to find their own sound and musical identity, and continuously explore throughout their artistic journey. Whether you are a singing enthusiast, already a professional musician willing to improve some skills, or you wish to have your first encounter with singing, I am looking forward to guiding you towards your goals!
During our singing lessons we will work on your vocal technique and performing skills. Through the years I gained experience with a variety of techniques and methods oriented on pop, jazz improvisation, belcanto. I am aiming to find one's personal sound and interpretation, developping a healthy trained voice and an artistic attitude on stage. My style is based on demonstration with respect to student's needs and wishes.
Going throw auditions myself both in academic and vocal competitions contexts, has been a very familiar process to me. Furthermore, during my years of teaching, I often worked with students auditiong for their highschool, Bachelor or Master entrance exam. If you wish to persue a singing education in a musical institution or performing/singing competition, I am here to help you throughout the auditioning process. I will offer guidance regarding the candidate's suitability and skills, interpretation, vocal technique and music theory knowledge, as well as choosing the repertoire.
