Carlos is an awesome drum teacher, and I highly recommend him to anyone starting out—just like I was a couple of years ago. He’s super patient and has a really structured way of teaching that makes everything easy to understand. Every lesson felt like real progress, and he was great at spotting my mistakes and helping me fix them quickly. What I really liked is that he doesn’t just teach you how to play—he also explains the theory behind it, which helped me a lot in understanding rhythm and technique. He’s passionate about drumming, and that energy makes learning from him really motivating. He also tailors his teaching to your pace, so you never feel rushed or stuck. Whether it’s improving coordination, stick control, or just getting comfortable behind the kit, he makes sure you’re building solid skills. Introductie

Hallo, mijn naam is Carlos, ik ben geboren en getogen in Spanje. Ik woon in Amsterdam en geef al zes jaar les in Nederland. Ik leer Nederlands, maar ik wil graag doorgaan in het Engels, omdat ik er nog niet zo goed in ben.

I have a bachelor degree in jazz drums performance from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and more than10 years teaching experience with all ages (from 3y/o to adults) and levels (from beginners to people auditioning to higher education institutions). 

I play drums and percussion across many genres, jazz, flamenco, rock, pop, punk, folk, and more! I believe in tailoring my classes to my students interests, so let me know what your goals are and we will work to get you there!

I believe in tailoring my classes to my students interests. I am aware that not everyone wants to become a profesional and maybe you just want to have fun playing an instrument. If this describes you, don't worry, these lessons will never be "something else that you feel you HAVE TO DO": Lets just have fun with music, you are already brave enough to decide starting/improving at an instrument. 
If by the contrary, you have profesional aspirations I hill help you get there.

I often teach one lesson per week. In my experience having some kind of continuity always offers a better experience for everyone. If you are preparing something specific and you need more intensity, we can also increase the frequency.
