Hallo! Ik ben Patricia Mancheño, contrabas, elektrische bas en baby bas speler uit Spanje en woon in Vlaardingen (Nederland).

Ik heb gestudeerd tot Nederlands A2 niveau, dus ik kan basis conersaties hebben en les geven in het Nederlands op een basis niveau. We kunnen ook les krijgen in het Engels, Spaans of Catalaans.

Ik heb de bachelor gestudeerd aan de jazz afdeling in Codarts en ook de master in Codarts (maar dan in de latin afdeling). Daarnaast heb ik een extra cursus gevolgd tijdens mijn bachelorstudie om lessen te leren (ik heb een officieel certificaat).

Ik heb veel ervaring met het spelen over de hele wereld met veel verschillende bands en orquestras, zoals in Nederland, Spanje, België, Duitsland, Oostenrijk, Colombia en Mexico met elektrische bas contrabas en Baby bass (elektrische contrabas). 

Als muziekleraar heb ik 4 jaar ervaring in het lesgeven aan kinderen, tieners en volwassenen van verschillende niveaus.

Als basdocent pas ik mijn lessen altijd vanaf de eerste dag aan de leerling aan, waarbij ik vraag naar je muziekvoorkeuren en welke tunes je wilt spelen. Muziektheorie als je beter wilt worden als muzikant, maar ik begrijp ook dat het saai kan zijn, daarom leer je vanaf de eerste les theorie terwijl je je favoriete nummers speelt. Ik pas het programma voor je aan.

 Ik kan je ook tips geven over basversterkers, muzieksoftware, etc, omdat ik ook geluidstechniek heb gestudeerd en jarenlang als geluidstechnicus heb gewerkt.

Het belangrijkste voor mij als docent is dat je leert en tegelijkertijd plezier hebt in het bespelen van je instrument en jezelf verbetert als muzikant!

Hi! Im Patricia Mancheño, double bass, electric bass and Baby bass player from Spain and Living in Vlaardingen (the Netherlands).

I have studied until Dutch A2 level, so I can have basic conersations and teach in dutch in a basic level. We can also have lessons in English, Spanish or Catalan.

I studied the bachelor at the jazz department in Codarts and also the master in Codarts (but in the Latin department). I also took an additional course during my undergraduate studies to learn how to teach (I have an official certificate).

I have a lot of experience playing around the world with many different bands and orquestras, like in  the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Colombia and Mexico with electric bass double bass and Baby bass (electric double bass). 

As a music teacher I have 4 years of experience teaching kids, teenagers and adults of many different levels.

As a bass teacher, I always adapt my lessons to the student from the first day, asking about your music preferences and which kind of tunes you want to play. Music theory if you want to improve as a musician, but I also understand it could be boring, thats why you will learn theory from the very first lesson while playing your favourite tunes. I will adapt the programm for you.

 I also could give you tips about bass amps, music software, etc, because I have also studied sound engineering and worked as a sound technician for many years.

The most important thing for me as a teacher is that you learn at the same time you enjoy playing your instrument and improve yoursef as a musician!

Wat je kunt verwachten van mijn lessen:

Vanaf de eerste les zal onze inhoud praktisch zijn. Je leert muziektheorie en hoe je het instrument moet bespelen door het spelen van liedjes of muziekstijlen die je leuk vindt. Ik pas de lessen altijd aan elke leerling aan. 

De eerste les wordt je gevraagd naar wat je wilt spelen, welke muziekstijlen je leuk vindt en wat je doel is met die lessen. Daarna stel ik een persoonlijk programma voor je op.

Ik zou les kunnen geven op basisniveau Nederlands (niet vloeiend). Engels sprekend op hoog niveau. Inheems Spaans. Inheems Catalaans

What you can expect from my lessons:

From the first lesson our content is going to be practical. You are gonna learn music theory and how to play the instrument by playing songs or music styles you like. I always adapt the lessons to every student. 

The first lesson you will be asked about what do you want to play, which music styles you listen and like and what is your goal with those lessons. Then I will prepare a personal programm for you.

I could teach in a basic dutch level (not fluent). High level english speaking. Native spanish. Native Catalan.

Ben je geïnteresseerd in het leren spelen van je favoriete pop/rock nummers op de Ukulele? Maar de video tutorials die je op internet vindt helpen niet veel, omdat je twijfelt over de positie van je vingers of hoe je de snaren moet aanslaan. Dan kan ik je zeker helpen om te beginnen met ukelele spelen op een basisniveau, terwijl we je favoriete liedjes spelen en je tegelijkertijd een beetje muziektheorie en ritme leert.

Are you interested in learning how to play your favorite pop/rock songs on the Ukulele? But the video tutorials you find on the internet don't help much because you have doubts about finger positioning or how to strum the strings. Then surely I can help you to start playing the ukulele at a basic level, while we play your favorite songs and at the same time you learn a little bit of music theory and rhythm.
