I was originally meant to study chemistry, not music. However, when I was 16, I stumbled upon a classical music DVD. The first track was Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata, and I instantly fell in love with classical music. Soon after, I began teaching myself piano and music theory. This newfound passion led me to pursue a career in classical music. I obtained my BA in classical music (piano performance) from Conservatorium Maastricht, with a specialised teaching certificate. I have experience in teaching piano, improvisation, and music theory to all levels and age groups. As a teacher my primary goal now is to share the joy and beauty of classical music with others.
As a piano teacher, I begin with the fundamentals of music, gradually transitioning to piano technique. Throughout our lessons, I'll introduce relevant music theory concepts for a deeper understanding. While our primary focus is the classical repertoire, I'm open to exploring other musical styles based on your interests.
